Companhia Espírito Santense de Saneamento (Cesan) is southeastern Brazil's Espírito Santo state water utility. It provides water collection, treatment and distribution, as well as sewage treatment services. Cesan, in cooperation with the World Bank, is planning to launch US$323mn in waterworks tenders in 2015. Falling under the state's integrated water management and landscaping program, the six-year initiative calls for work in areas such as river basin and shoreline management, subterranean water and well monitoring, disaster prevention and reforestation. The Vitória-based company was founded in 1967.
