Companhia Espírito Santense de Saneamento (Cesan) is a Brazilian mixed-ownership water utility operating in the country's southeastern state of Espírito Santo. Cesan provides water collection, treatment, and distribution, as well as sewage treatment services. It is mainly responsible for conducting project studies, construction work for new installations, network expansions and maintenance. The government of the state of Espirito Santo holds a 99.7% interest in the firm. Cesan owns 88 water treatment plants with 231Mm3 capacity, and 92 wastewater treatment facilities, with 54.8Mm3 capacity. It operates in 52 municipalities and provides sanitation service for 27 municipalities. The Vitória-based company was founded in 1967.
