Description

Founded in 1966, privately held CPFL Leste Paulista is a subsidiary of Brazilian power holding company CPFL Energia that distributes electric power to seven municipalities located in the central region of São Paulo State: São José do Rio Pardo, Divinolândia, São Sebastião da Grama, Casa Branca, Itobi, Caconde and Tapiratiba. In December 2015, its concession was extended, until July 2045. During that same year, the Jaguariúna, São Paulo state-based firm distributed power to 56,600 clients, 900 more than in 2014. Captive market sales totaled 285GWh, while sales for the free market reached 49.3GWh, representing a 3.7% decrease and a 47% increase, respectively.
