Chilean insurer CorpVida operates in the areas of annuities, insurance and savings. Its main business lines are pensions, individual life insurance, consumer credits for pensioned members, and mass market insurance. The company is controlled by Inversiones La Construccion (ILC), which acquired a 67% stake in late 2013 from Chilean businessman Álvaro Saieh, along with an identical interest in insurer CorpSeguros. In 2014, ILC increased its stake in Corpvida through the acquisition of US-based Mass Mutual's shares. Corpvida was founded in 1989 and is based in Santiago. It has more than 200,000 clients and nearly 20 branches across the country. The final controller of CorpVida is the Chilean construction chamber, ILC's main shareholder.
