Panamanian construction firm Constructora Urbana (Cusa) is primarily involved in the design and construction of highways, airports, ports, railway, infrastructure, sewerage and bridges, and activities like excavation and earthmoving works. As of 2011, Cusa had 33 active projects. Its projects include the design and expansion of 42km highway stretch near the city of David, 550km west of Panama City; and work in the widening of the Panama Canal. As part of a consortium with Belgium's Jan De Nul, Spain's Sacyr Vallehermoso and Italy's Impregilo, Cusa is involved in Panama Canal Authority's (ACP) project to install a third set of locks on the waterway's Atlantic coast. Cusa was founded in 1955 and is based in Panama City, Panama.
