Description

Dominican Republic's state power holding company CDEEE is a state corporation formed in 2001 to direct the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy in Dominican Republic. Headquartered in Santo Domingo, it controls state-owned distribution companies Edesur, Edenorte and Edeste, the hydroelectric generation company EGEHD, and the transmission company ETED. In 2017 CDEEE is advancing the construction of the 720MW Punta Catalina thermoelectric power plant project in Baní Province and studying the 300MW combined cycle Itabo III thermoelectric project in the Province of San Cristóbal.
