Description

Empresa Distribuidora La Plata Sociedad Anónima (Edelap) is an Argentine electric power distributor serving over 1 million clients within a 5,700km2-concession area, comprising six municipalities in Buenos Aires province: La Plata, Berisso, Ensenada, Brandsen, Magdalena and Punta Indio. It was incorporated in 1992 and its commercial office is located in Buenos Aires. In 2011, the previous owner, US-based corporation AES, sold the company to Power Infrastructure, a group led by Venezuelan businessman Miguel Mendoza and Argentine businessman Alejandro Ivanissevich.
