Colombia's Empresas Públicas de Medellín E.S.P. (EPM) is a multi-utility and telco focusing on power generation, transmission and distribution, natural gas distribution, wastewater treatment, aqueducts and telecommunications. The company's power segment has 2,600MW installed capacity, meeting the power needs of 19% of the country. EMP owns and manages 60,000km of transmission and distribution lines, and 133 substations with a transformation capacity of 4,447MVA. EPM's 4,200-km natural gas network provides gas to ten municipalities. The firm's sanitation and aqueduct subsidiaries operate a 7,800-km network, 88 distribution circuits, 31 pumping stations, and 109 storage tanks with a combined capacity of 431,551m3. EPM also has a 1.8m3/s wastewater treatment plant in San Fernando. Its telecom business segment offers data, voice and video transmission solutions and broadband, cable tv and IPTV services nationwide. The company is based in Medellín in Colombia's Antioquia state.
