Colombian financial holding Grupo Aval, through its subsidiaries, provides a range of financial services, including commercial banking, trust, leasing, and pension fund management services. The group commands roughly a third of the Colombian system's loans through its chain of four banks: Banco de Bogotá, Banco de Occidente, Banco Comercial AV Villas and Banco Popular. It also owns the country's largest private pension fund manager, AFP Porvenir. In December 2010, Grupo Aval completed the purchase of Central American banking group BAC Credomatic through its main subsidiary, the country's second biggest bank, Banco de Bogotá. Grupo Aval is based in Bogota, Colombia.
