HSBC Brazil, the Brazilian unit of UK banking group HSBC, is a full service bank offering a range of financial products and services to individual and business clients. The bank manages its business through two customer groups - personal financial services and commercial banking - and two global businesses - corporate, investment banking and markets (CIBM) and private banking. HSBC Brazil offers its individual personal banking customers an array of products and services, including bank accounts, credit cards, personal loans, investment products, and money transfers. For companies, it provides trade products, corporate credit facilities, credit cards, payments and receivables, and treasury services. The bank also offers other services through its subsidiaries, such as insurance, retirement benefit plans, savings plans, foreign exchange brokerage, securities brokerage, securities dealing, and asset management. It has an overseas branch in the Cayman Islands and is based in Paraná state capital Curitiba. In 2015, HSBC sold its Brazilian business, formed by HSBC Bank Brasil S.A - Banco Multiplo and HSBC Servicos e Participacoes Ltda, to local lender Banco Bradesco. The transaction is pending approval by competent regulators and is expected to be closed during the second quarter of 2016.
