Description

Created in 1992, Colombia's National highway authority Invias is a state-owned entity that operates under the Transport Ministry, tasked with executing policies, strategies, plans and programs related to the country's public road infrastructure, consisting of seven trunk North-South highways spanning 13,000km, and eight transverse roads connecting with the highways from East to West. The agency is also responsible for Colombia's railway and waterway infrastructure. Invías is headquartered in the country's capital city of Bogota.
