La Peninsular Compañía Constructora S.A. de C.V., a subsidiary of local group Hermes S.A. de C.V., is a Mexican construction firm specializing in industrial construction, concrete structures, civil and electromechanical works, and the installation of above ground and underground transmission lines. The Mexico City-based company, together with Constructora de Proyectos Viales de México, ICA and Cotrisa, was awarded a contract for the first stretch of an interurban passenger train project connecting state capital Toluca with Mexico City. It is also part of a consortium building line 3 of Mexico City's Cutzamala water distribution system, which will pass through the states of Mexico and Michoacán, as well as Mexico City. La Peninsular was founded in 1978.
