Dominican Republic state refiner Refidomsa is engaged in the production and supply of oil, petroleum and LPG. It owns and operates an oil refinery located on the outskirts of the Haina Occidental port. Its main products include gasoline, gasoil, LPG, kerosene, avtur and fuel oil. Refidomsa became state-owned in August 2008 after Shell Group sold 51% of its assets. In 2011, the government brought on Venezuela's PDVSA as a strategic partner that holds the balance. Refidomsa was founded in 1973 and is based in Haina, Dominican Republic.
