Description

Created in 2008 to replace Ecuador's former Water Resources National Council, the national water authority Senagua is the government body responsible for managing water resources in an integrated and sustainable manner and developing concerned policies. The agency is tasked with developing several big scale initiatives to become part of the country's water production network, including irrigation, drinking water, and flood control projects. Additionally, it is responsible for guaranteeing the provision of potable water, sanitation, and wastewater treatment services. Senagua is based in Quito.
