Argentine steel tube producer Siderca S.A.I.C. (Tenaris Siderca) operates as a subsidiary of Luxembourg-based holding company Tenaris S.A., in turn controlled by Italian-Argentine group Techint. The company's first production center opened in Campana, Buenos Aires province, in 1954. Siderca has an annual production capacity of 900,000t of seamless tubes and delivers a wide range of products for the energy, automotive and agro-industrial sectors. Less than 30% of its high-value added products hit the local market. The Buenos Aires-based company also has welded steel tubes mills in Valentín Alsina (Buenos Aires province) and Villa Constitución (Santa Fe province), and supplies sucker rods and accessories from its production centers in Villa Mercedes (San Luis province). The Valentín Alsina and Villa Constitución plants have a joint production capacity of 430,000t/y. Siderca has regional service centers located in Comodoro Rivadavia and Neuqén; and stock centers in Mendoza, Río Gallegos and Las Heras, all of them focused on delivering tubes and installed columns for the oil sector.
