The 39.6km stretch spans Maipo river's northern bank and the Américo Vespucio beltway in Quilicura, runs through ten districts in Santiago, and includes 18 highway connections. The 20.9-km General Velasquez avenue stretches from Ruta 5 Norte (Las Acacias) to the connection to Ruta 5 Norte. It runs through nine districts and includes 17 new highway structures.
