Venezuela's Sudeban is the regulator that oversees the banking sector and answers to the nation's financial system watchdog. It was created by the banking act of 1940 to inspect, supervise, and regulate banks operating in Venezuela, and has the authority to implement protective measures when detecting irregularities in the management of any bank.
