Techint S.A. de C.V. (Techint Mexico), the Mexican unit of Techint Engineering and Construction, is engaged in building structures and electromechanical facilities for the power, oil and gas and petrochemical sectors. Some of the projects where the company has been involved include the construction of pipelines, steel plants, hydroelectric power facilities, combined-cycle plants, high voltage transmission lines and electric substations. The company was founded in 1954 and develops activities in Mexico and Central America. In 2006, Techint Mexico was selected to execute the EPC work for the first tranche of the Central America's Siepac grid project. Later, in 2013, the firm signed a contract with Gasoductos del Sudeste for the commissioning of an ethanol pipeline system for the Project Etileno XXI.
