YPFB Transporte, formerly Transredes S.A., is a subsidiary of Bolivia's state hydrocarbons company YPFB. It is engaged in the transport of oil and gas in Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina and Chile (it has a terminal in Chile's Arica region). Founded in 1996 and later nationalized in 2008, the company owns 6,250km of pipelines (gas and oil). Headquartered in Santa Cruz, YPFB Transporte is present in seven Bolivian departments and transports 93% of gas for the domestic market, 100% of gas exported to Argentina, 42% of gas exported to Brazil and 94% of liquid hydrocarbons for the internal market. The company also has two susidiaries: Gas Transboliviano S.A. which operates pipelines in Bolivian territory and Transredes Do Brasil Ltda. which controls operations in Brazilian territory.
