Venezuela's state-controlled aluminum reducer CVG Alcasa is focused on the production, processing and sale of aluminum products, and supply of raw materials for the country's processing industries. The company produces a range of foundry (ingots and cylinders) and rolled products (coils) to meet the needs of various industries, including construction, electrical, transportation, packaging, refrigeration, and consumer goods. Its nominal production capacity is 120,000Mt/y of primary aluminum. The company also markets its products worldwide. CVG Alcasa is controlled by state heavy industry holding company CVG which operates under the authority of the country's energy and mines ministry. It was founded in 1960 and is based in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela.
