Minas Argentinas (MASA), a subsidiary of the Canadian firm Yamana Gold Inc., engaged in the exploration and mining of mineral resources. The company owns and operates the Gualcamayo gold property, an open pit and underground heap leach operation encompassing three substantial zones of gold mineralization in Argentina's San Juan province. In 2015, Gualcamayo produced over 180,000oz of gold. In 2016, Gualcamayo is expected to produce between 150,000 to 165,000oz of gold. The company is also involved in the development of the underground Suyai project, a high-grade gold and silver deposit in Chubut province.
