Red de Carreteras de Occidente (RCO) is the largest private highway concessionair in Mexico, dedicated to the construction, operation and maintenance of highways running through the states of Michoacan, Jalisco, Guanajuato, and Aguascalientes. These include the Maravatío-Zapotlanejo, Zapotlanejo-Lagos de Moreno, León-Aguascalientes and Guadalajara-Zapotlanejo highways. RCO operates aproximately 800km of toll highways in the country and connects Mexico City and Guadalajara, the two largest cities in the country. In 2011, local construction firm ICA transferred to RCO its stake in the 74.3km highway CONIPSA that connects Irapuato and La Piedad as well as the 93km highway COVIQSA that connects Querétaro and Irapuato. The company was founded in 2007 and is based in Guadalajara, Mexico.
