US-based VMware is a global provider of virtualization and cloud infrastructure solutions. The company provides services such as modernization of data centers, integration of public clouds, empowerment of digital workspaces and security, with products related to hybrid computing, end-user computing, and software-defined data centers. In 2004, it was taken over by EMC and in 2016 it became a subsidiary of Dell. Incorporated in 1998, VMware is based in Palo Alto, California, with offices throughout the world. In Latin America, it has offices in Brazil and Costa Rica.
