Description

Mexican port authority API Tampico, controlled by the transport and communications ministry (SCT), has been responsible since 1994 for the administration, operation and infrastructure upgrade of Tampico port on Mexico's east coast. With offices in Mexico's Tamaulipas state, API Tampico announced in 2015 a tender for the partial concession of an area of 76,360m2 for a period of 29 years to increase the terminal's activity. In 2015, the port received 324 oil tankers and 239 commercials ships, totalling 6,461Mt.
