French company Akuo Energy is engaged in renewable power generation and develops and operates facilities around the world, including the US, France, Poland, Australia, Croatia, Dubai, Indonesia, Morocco, Turkey and Uruguay. Headquartered in Paris the firm was founded in 2007, and undertakes the development, financing, supervision, construction and operation of plants, which focus on wind, solar and hydro energy, as well as biomass production and ocean thermal energy conversion. In Uruguay, the company was awarded the Polesine project, involving the construction of two wind farms, Florida I and Minas, which will have an installed capacity of 50MW and 42MW, respectively. In 2016 Akuo Energy and Eurus Energy America Corporation announced a new project in Uruguay, the 50MW installed capacity Florida II wind farm. Akuo Energy aims to reach a global production capacity of 3,500MW by 2022.
