Associação Brasileira das Entidades dos Mercados Financeiro e de Capitais, Brazil-based group created in October 2009 that brings together the National Association of Investment Banks (Anbid) and the National Association of Financial Market Institutions (Andima). These two bodies represent 327 financial groups and institutions that conduct banking, investment, and asset brokerage and management activities, among others. It brings together more than 130 banks. Among its activities, ANBIMA provides an integrated forum to guide financial and capital market institution operations, and oversees the certification of market professionals through examination.
