Description

Mendoza province's General Department of Irrigation (DGI), Argentina, is tasked with managing the province's water resources. The department is financially and administratively independent and is responsible for the regulation and overseeing of the use of water, as well as for preservation, regulation, and distribution of water through its natural and artificial courses to residential and industrial users. Created in 1884 as the general Department of Water, it adopted its current name in 1894. Its offices are located in Mendoza city.
