A.P Moller-Maersk (Maersk), established in 1904, is an integrated transport and logistics company and a global leader in container shipping and ports. It also has a standalone energy division. The company employs approximately 88,000 employees across operations in 130 countries. Its subsidiaries Maersk Line, APM Terminals and Maersk Container Industries provide transport and logistics services, while its subsidiaries Maersk Oil, Maersk Drilling, Maersk Supply Services, and Maersk Tankers serve the energy sector. Its recent projects in Latin America include an intermodal terminal in Lázaro Cárdenas, Mexico; a new container port in Moin, Costa Rica; the modernization of Callao port, Peru; and a new container terminal in Limón, Costa Rica. In 2016, the company acquired Spain's Grup Maritim TCB S.L. including terminals in Yucutan, Mexico; Buenaventura, Colombia; Paranagua, Brazil; and Quetzal, Guatemala. Maersk Group is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark.
