Description:
São Paulo-based Cogeração de Energia Elétrica Rhodia Brotas S.A. started its operations in 2012. Developed by a partnership between Solvay Energy Services and Usina Paraíso, the power generation plant uses sugarcane bagasse to generate electricity and steam (cogeneration) that it later commercializes. The biomass renewable power station has an installed capacity of 70MW and a steam generation capacity of 350t/h.
