Future Pipe Spain is a Spanish manufacturer of pipes focused on products for desalination plants, water and sewage networks and power plants. The firm undertakes the design, manufacturing, trading and assembly of Glass-Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GRP) pipes and accessories. It also provides engineering, turnkey projects, project management and maintenance services. The Barcelona-based company was founded in 1959 and in 2013 it was taken over by the United Arab Emirates' Future Pipe Industries group. In Latin American it has sales representation in Chile and Mexico through Mantex S.A. and Corrosolutions de México S.A. Some of its major projects in the region are hydroelectric power plants Diuto, Salto and Los Padres and the desalination plant Mantoverde, located in Chile; hydro plants Mendre 2 and Central Hidroeléctrica Bocalatún, in Panamá; a desalination plant in Paraguaná refining facility, in Venezuela, and the combined cycle thermal power plant in Parnaíba, Brasil; among others.
