Description

Siemens AG (Siemens) is an open capital engineering German company founded in 1847, based in Munich, which is aimed at the provision of power generation and transmission systems, and medical diagnosis. In 2017, the wind power area of Siemens is authorized to merge with the Spanish firm Gamesa, investing US$1,000 millions and thus controlling 59% of a large manufacturer of wind turbines. Siemens is present in Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Mexico through diverse projects. In the Mexican State of Sonora, Siemens has the combined cycle termal stations La Caridad I and II, which supply power to mining projects of Grupo México S.A.
