Its offices in Latin America are located in Brazil, Chile, and Peru. In Brazil, the company has participated in the construction of more than 60 hydroelectric power plants, 25,000km of transmission lines, 80 extra-high voltage substations, and 19,000MW of power plant installed capacity. In Chile, Tractebel provided engineering services for the Laja hydropower plant project, the 500kV Ancoa-Alto Jahuel transmission system and the Alto Maipo hydropower plant. In Peru, the company was involved in the 114MW Talara & Cupisnique wind farms and the Chavimochic Irrigation Project.
