Description

Chile-based GNL Quintero S.A. manages the operations of the GNL Quintero gasification terminal, located in Valparaíso region (V) and which started commercial operations in 2009. Liquefied natural gas is imported and regasified at the terminal, and then supplied to Chilean gas distribution company Metrogas. The terminal has three cryogenic tanks with 310,000m3 storage capacity, and 15Mm3/d regasification capacity. The terminal also supplies gas for power generation. GNL Quintero's majority shareholder is Enagas Chile SpA - subsidiary of Spanish company Enagás S.A.- with a 40.4% interest, after acquiring Enel's total stake in the company in 2016. Enagás also signed an agreement with Aprovisionadora Global de Energía to acquire its 20% interest in GNL Quintero. The company is headquartered in Santiago.
