Portuaria Cabo Froward S.A. (Froward) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chilean holding Grupo de Empresas Navieras S.A.(GEN). Headquartered in Valparaíso, Region V, the firm was founded in 1994. Froward offers specialized port services including bulk and general cargoes, using port terminals Jureles, Puchoco and Chollín, located in Coronel, Region VIII; as well as the industrial port of Calbuco, located in Region X. Its activities include support for cabotage and import/export of bulk cargo, hydrocarbons and general cargo movement. Its business geographic area spans from Region VII to X, mainly focused on forestry, fishing and agribusiness activities. Some of its current contracts include companies in the forestry, mining and industrial business. Other companies part of the Grupo de Empresas Navieras (GEN) holding are Compañía Marítima Chilena S.A (CMC), Agencias Universales (Agunsa), Empresas Marítimas S.A.(CPT), among others.
