France's Etablissements Maurel et Prom S.A. (M&P) is engaged in the exploration and production of oil and gas in Gabon, France, Congo and Tanzania. In Latin America, the company holds acreage in Colombia and Peru. The company is set to define an appraisal program for its CPO-17 and Muisca permits in Colombia. The company has a 50% stake in the Muisca permit. No oil has been proved from the permit's Balsa-1 well. It also has a 50% working interest in the CPO-17 permit, where three stratigraphic wells have been drilled. The firm added it is yet to find a partner to finance work for the SN-11 exploration permit. In Peru, Maurel & Prom said drilling of the Fortuna-1 well was abandoned, and the group has no plans to continue the project. The company said its P1 and P2 reserves totaled 207 Mboe at the start of 2015. M&P was founded in 1813 and is headquartered in Paris, France.
