Description

Colombia's software and IT industry association Fedesoft, established in 1987 in Bogotá, represents its sector interests before public and private agencies, locally and abroad. Fedesoft represents to almost 400 companies and works in partnerships with the Ministry of IT and Communications; Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism; and other associations in the country. Fedesoft has international alliances with the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) and the Federation of Latin America's, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal IT and Communications Associations (ALETI). Fedesoft's strategic plan 2015 main objective for the IT Industry is to reach 5% of the GDP by 2025 (1.7% of GDP in 2012); and also organizes events and workshops for the business, academic, private and public sectors.
