Description:
Ferrocarriles Suburbanos, a Mexican subsidiary of the Spanish railway manufacturer CAF, was awarded in 2005 the concession for the system 1 of the suburban railway for a 30-year period. The contract includes construction and operation of the railroad connecting Mexico state and Mexico City. The route comprises 27km and serves 300.000 passengers a day. Headquartered in Mexico City, the firm was established in 2005 and operates the suburban railway since 2008.
