Gas Sayago S.A.

Company Detail

Gas Sayago S.A. (GSSA) is a joint venture between Uruguay's state power company UTE and state oil company Ancap, formed to develop the offshore LNG regasification plant GNL del Plata, in Punta de Sayago, Montevideo. The plant will be connected to the existing Cruz del Sur pipeline and was originally expected to be online mid-2015 and have a production capacity of 10Mm3/d of natural gas. As of mid-2016 work is halted as the JV seeks a strategic partner. The plant is now supposed to be fully operational by mid-2017.
