Mexican financial holding company Grupo Financiero Scotiabank Inverlat offers a broad range of banking, financial, foreign exchange, and securities market products and services to individual clients, small businesses and multinational corporations through four operating subsidiaries: Scotia Inverlat, the Mexican banking unit of Canada's Scotiabank; investment fund company Scotia Fondos; stock brokerage unit Scotia Inverlat Casa de Bolsa, providing investment advice, equity trading, money market, hedging and futures products, and corporate finance products; pension fund manager Servicios Corporativos Scotia; and consumer loans provider Crédito Familiar. The company offers checking and savings accounts, investments, credit products, and online and telephone banking services. It also provides a range of additional services such as cash management, foreign exchange, trade finance, derivatives, trust services, corporate finance, specialized funds, institutional investments, equity market, money market, and syndicated loans. The bank's foreign trade products comprise import, domestic, prepaid, export, and standby letters of credit; and import, export and domestic collections. Other offerings include advisory services, structuring, share placements, and mergers and acquisitions. As of December 31, 2003 the group operates as a subsidiary of The Bank of Nova Scotia.
