Description

China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC), part of state-owned conglomerate China Energy Engineering Group, has been designing, building, investing and operating a wide range of infrastructure projects since 1970. With offices in Beijing, it has operations in more than 80 countries. In Latin America, CGGC has a presence in Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Colombia and Brazil. In Venezuela, in 2014 it signed a contract to improve the southern electricity grid. In Ecuador, CGGC is building the Bahía de Caráquez 6.8km highway and bridge in the province of Manabí, and the 488MW Paute-Sopladora hydroelectric project in the provinces of Azuay and Canar. In Argentina, it is building the 1,740MW Nestor Kirchner-Jorge Cepernic hydroelectric project in Santa Cruz province.
