Description

Heavy equipment supplier Komatsu Cummins Chile Ltda. (KCC) was created in 1999 by Japanese firm Komatsu Ltd. and US-based Cummins to operate in Chile's forestry, mining and construction industries. It also provides services to other firms in the group, such as Kommatsu Arrienda and Komatsu Reman Center. In 2011 the company was awarded a five-year contract to supply Chilean steel and iron ore group CAP's Cerro Negro Norte iron ore project in northern region III. Under the terms of the agreement, the contract can be extended to a total of 10 years. Komatsu will provide three WA1200-6 front loaders, eight 830E-AC rock trucks, three D375A-5 bulldozers, two WD600-3 wheel dozers, one HD605-7WT tank truck, one GD825A-2 grader and one PC300LC-8 excavator.
