Valparaíso Terminal de Pasajeros S.A. (VTP) is a society among Agencias Universales S.A. - Agunsa (99%) and Terminales y Servicios de Contenedores S.A. - Tesco (1%) to build and operate the port passenger terminal of the Region of Valparaíso, a 30-year contract allocated at a public tender in 2002. VTP is the only authorized path to embark and disembark cruise ships, it has a constructed area of 5,200 m2 and a capacity of up to 6,000 passengers. VTP holds compliance certification with the International Ship and Port Security Code, awarded by the Government of Chile in 2004. VTP, Empresa Portuaria Valparaíso S.A. - EPV, Terminal Pacífico Sur Valparaíso S.A. – TPS, and Terminal Cerros de Valparaíso S.A. – TCVAL, are planning an exclusive cruise ship terminal for the year 2022, which would be located near the current terminal.
