Canada's Cornerstone Capital Resources Inc (Cornerstone) is engaged in the exploration of gold, silver and copper mineral resources in Ecuador and Chile. The company's Ecuadorian subsidiary Cornerstone Ecuador SA (CESA) holds the 30,000ha Vetas Grandes gold-silver-copper project and 1,150ha Caña Brava gold project in the country's south; and the 1,040ha Bella Maria gold project in the southwest. In 2016, CESA signed an agreement with Chile's state mining company ENAMI to explore for mineral prospects in Ecuador. Cornerstone also has a 15% interest in the Cascabel copper-gold project in north Ecuador through Exploraciones Novomining SA (ENSA), a joint venture with SolGold plc. In Chile, the company holds the Miocene gold-silver-copper project in northern Chile's Atacama and Antofagasta regions through its local subsidiary Minera Cornerstone Chile Ltda. The company was established in 1997 and is headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario.
