Description

Lithium Power International (LPI) is an Australian mining company focused exclusively on lithium exploration and development, with projects in Latin America and Australia. The company holds exploration licenses in Argentina and Chile. In 2016, it acquired five exploration licenses in the Centenario lithium brine salar deposit (Centenario 2 to 6), located in the Puna Plateau, Salta province. In Chile, the company entered a joint venture with Minera Salar Blanco (MSB) to undertake due dilligence on the exploration and development of the high-grade Maricunga lithium brine project, which was completed in 2016. The new JV, NewCo, will be jointly owned by LPI (50%), MSB (32.3%), and Li3 Energu Inc. (17.7%). Lithium Power International was incorporated in 2015 and is based in Sydney.
