Description

Brazil's communication ministry is the executive branch in charge of developing and administering public policies regarding communications. It aims to ensure democratic and universal access to telecoms, broadcasting and postal services. Its activities include controlling and managing the use of the RF spectrum, postal services, laying rules regarding concessions and oversight of telecoms and broadcasting services. Institutions operating under the auspices of the ministry include Anatel, ECT-Correios e Telégrafos, and Telebrás.
