Petrojam Ltd. is a Jamaican oil company jointly owned by PDV Caribe S.A., a subsidiary of Venezuelan state oil firm PDVSA, and the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ), a statutory corporation owned by the Jamaican government. Petrojam engages in the purchase and refining of crude oil and the sale of refined petroleum products. The company's hydro-skimming refinery can process 35,000b/d, producing automotive diesel, heavy fuel oil, kerosene, jet fuel, LPG, asphalt, and gasoline. The firm also imports low sulfur diesel for domestic distribution. Currently, Petrojam is developing a refinery expansion project that will bring the plant's capacity to 50,000b/d. Petrojam was established in 1982 and is based in Kingston.
