The Italian company Scotta S.P.A. designs, develops and installs hydropower plants, electric power plants and industrial automation; including engineering, formalities and licenses, automation, among others. Scotta's services comprise construction of hydropower plants; development of cogeneration, gas turbine, photovoltaic and biomass plants; artificial snow-making and software. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Cuneo, Italy, Scotta has international operations in Europe and Latin America. In Chile, Scotta has invested in the development of large-scale hydropower plants through the associated company Hidroenergía Chile Ltda.; and has developed the hydropower projects Angol, Los Padres, Río Bonito, Río Feo, Callao, Nalcas, and Paloma.
