Techint Chile S.A. is the local subsidiary of Techint Engineering and Construction S.A., ultimately controlled by the Italian-Argentine group Techint. It designs and builds facilities for the mining and oil industries, such as mineral processing plants, water transport systems, pipelines, and pumping systems. The company provides construction, management and maintenance services. Based in Santiago, Techint Chile started operations in the country in 1951, whit the construction of a maritime terminal and mooring system. Serving the mining and oil and gas markets, the company has developed major concentrate ducts for mining operations, the Trans-Andean oil pipeline, and the Norandino and GasAndes natural gas pipelines.
