Argentine Terminal 4 S.A. was acquired by Maersk group in 2000 and eight years later, became part of APM Terminals Management, B.V. Terminal 4 is a multipurpose terminal consisting of 8ha within the Puerto Nuevo section of Buenos Aires. The terminal is well-equipped with a total of 6 cranes, 6 RTGs, 12 reach stackers, 11 forklifts, and 3 empty-handlers. The terminal's principal services include storage for empty and refrigerated containers, upgrade and repair services, customs inspections, among others. The terminal manages containerized shipments as well as a variety of other cargo such as fruit, heavy lifts, livestock, machinery, paper, steel pipes and plates, bulk and project cargo. APM Terminals Management, B.V. was established in 2001 and is headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands. In addition to Argentina, the company is actively operating throughout Latin America, with operations in Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, and Peru.
