Acciona Agua S.A.U. Sucursal Colombia is the local unit of Spanish infrastructure giant Acciona's water project construction business unit. The company engages in the design and construction of water treatment plants in the country. Acciona Agua entered the Colombian market in 2012 when it secured a contract as part of a consortium with Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd. and Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd., to design, build, operate and maintain a 432,000m3/d wastewater treatment plant in the city of Bello, serving almost 4 million users. In 2015, Acciona Agua was awarded a contract for a second wastewater treatment plant, as part of a consortium with local contractor Construvicol. The plant, called Los Angelinos, will have an initial capacity to treat 52Mlt/d serving 350,000 residents in Bucaramanga, Floridablanca, and Giron. Acciona Agua S.A.U.
