From 2006 through November 2008, spot price for 63.5 Fe. From December 2008 through May 2016, spot iron ore (any origin) 62 Fe CFR China.
Earlier data refers to annual contract prices (Brazil for Europe). Vale Carajás mine sinter feed, FOB Ponta da Madeira, from 1987 through 2009; Itabira mines FOB Tubarão from 1960 through 1986.
Unit DMTU denotes dry metric tonne unit, or 1 Fe unit.
